Silver Dreams

My entry for 's contest. The theme was "silver" and you can enter what ever sort of art you want.

This piece coalesced from several thoughts. Silver first made me think of quicksilver, and things that are more ephemeral and intangible. It also brings to mind the color of the landscape under a full moon and then how the night transforms everything. Night made me think of dreams. In my dreams things are often elusive and constantly changing (relating back to the quicksilver). Finally, my favorite dreams are those in which I'm flying.

So to sum it all up it's a girl's dream in which she's flying above the silver landscape, all her troubles far away--you might not be able to see them, but there are monsters sleeping under the hill.
