I recently joined the Polymer Clay Artists Guild of Etsy, and they have a monthly challenge. This month the theme was something from a favorite book. I decided to take my inspiration from Jasper Fforde's Thursday Next series. Pickwick is the cloned pet dodo of the main character, Thursday. Pickwick is pretty dense, has no wings, and loves marshmallows.

If you've never read any of Jasper Fforde's books, I highly recommend them.

As a side note, I didn't win, but I definitely had fun making this. I think I'm going to make it go on my fridge.

Hahahaa, wouldn't have been Pickwick without the "plock"! :lmao: Great work!

I especially love Pickwick because the Dodo was unique to my country (Mauritius) and it's great to see it incorporated in such a creative and witty series!

Oh yes, they used to live in Mauritius, and strangely enough on none of the other nearby islands. :)
