Sorry about the title, I just couldn't help myself.

This was just an exercise picture of my eye. I was trying to make myself get better at details, and focus on observing color and value. I met with limited success. The skin texture leaves something to be desired.

how did you make it look so realistic? the eye lashes look like eye lashes; the iris looks like ...an iris! and the shadows in the eye, along with where the light is coming from. looks like a window reflecting its light through the person's eye! so much depth :)
